The project took shape in 2012 from the experience of KayakTramp, an initiative started in 2011 and developed by the four founding members – Alessandra, Angelo, Luca and Sara – with the aim of sharing their passion for the territory, nature and sport. In 2013 Outdoor Portofino becomes Amateur Sports Society., creating an outdoor center dedicated to the discovery of Liguria through sports activities, environmental education and experiences in contact with nature.
Today Outdoor Portofino develops in different areas while maintaining the same pillars that guide every outdoor project and activity: sports, nature and environmental education. Outdoor Portofino accompanies people, families, kids, companies and schools to rediscover nature with new eyes, through experiences that combine movement, knowledge of the area and respect for the environment. We are guides, biologists, instructors and outdoor enthusiasts-a team that believes in a simple but powerful idea: nature, when you really experience it, changes everything.
Sports, nature, and education are the ingredients that characterize all of our activities, both on land and at sea, allowing people to experience the area in a conscious and sustainable way. Kayaking, SUP, snorkeling, coasteering, biking and orienteering are our favorite activities. We move mainly in the Marine Protected Areas and Parks of Liguria., offering an authentic and respectful way to explore the natural environment and learn about the biodiversity of the area.
Our offerings – guided hikes, self-guided tours, courses and rentals – are aimed at both experts and those new to outdoor activities: families, groups, individuals, companies for team building, and groups celebrating special moments such as bachelorette or bachelor parties. We love to design customized experiences, built together with our guests and developed through collaboration with professionals from different fields.
We devote great attention to children and young people, developing projects and activities that promote the well-being and education of the younger generation through direct contact with nature.
Through sports such as kayaking, SUP, snorkeling, coasteering, trekking and orienteering we explore the area safely.
Through programs in environmental education, outdoor education and citizen science we help children and youth learn about the natural environment and understand its balances.
That is why we pay great attention to environmental protection at every stage of our work: from organizational processes to proposed activities, from educational projects to the choice of partners and products used.
