Who am I
I was born and raised in La Spezia, literally on the cargo port. From the kitchen I can see a large part of the gulf and all the port operations. Since I was little I’ve been waking up with the cranes starting to load and I go to sleep with the container ships setting sail. I like to think that the sea is a constant or at least an element of particular importance in my life.
I’m a rather sporty person, and I’ve tried all kinds of sports, although the most enduring one has been basketball, which I’ve practiced for years. Noteworthy is swimming which then led me to become a lifeguard and work in Palmaria. I graduated from the classical high school and I am currently attending the course of International Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Genoa. I chose this after having spent a year abroad in Rio Cuarto, Argentina, where, in addition to learning a new language, I discovered an interest for Geopolitics and other cultures. PS. Your greatest passions?
Ranging from sports to politics, from travel to books but certainly one of the most important is the sea and all that follows.
Your favourite place in Liguria?
It is difficult to choose just one place so I prefer to stay on the macro-area of the Ligurian Riviera and in particular the Province of Spezia which includes a countless of wonderful places including the Cinque Terre National Park, the Gulf of Poets, the islands and the entire coast with vineyards overlooking the sea.
Three favourite dishes in your kitchen?
I eat practically everything but, if I really have to choose, in the top 3 I put octopus, tortellini and asado on equal terms.
